LA Bail Bonds: LAPD Lacks New Leads in Murder of The Notorious B.I.G.

In a case spanning back over a decade, the LAPD claims to have exhausted all leads in finding the murderer of popular rapper The Notorious B.I.G., real name Christopher Wallace. Biggie was shot in the Miracle Mile area outside the Peterson Automotive Museum on March 9, 1997. So far, no one has been formally charged and held for bail bonds in Los Angeles. The murder remains a mystery, although Wallace’s family does have theories that include LAPD involvement.

Biggie Smalls, as he was also known, was one of rap’s biggest stars, and his murder came just months after the similar slaying of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas following a Mike Tyson title fight. The two rappers were embroiled in the infamous East Coast versus West Coast battle for national supremacy, and it was originally believed that Biggie was killed as revenge for Tupac’s murder by a lone West Coast gang member. But the Wallace family has since stated that the nature of Biggie’s death was too complex for just one gang member to pull off and that the LAPD were somehow involved in the crime, which could possibly be why no suspect was held waiting for a Los Angeles bail bonds contact in his jail cell.

The FBI officially ended their involvement in the case in 2005, but the LAPD has continued to investigate using FBI documents. Unfortunately, they think they have finally hit a dead end.

Allegedly, LAPD officers were present at the after-party that Biggie was attending and appeared to be talking suspiciously on cell phones before the shooting, possibly warning the gunman when B.I.G. was leaving. Some specialists have suggested that the slaying was performed in too professional a manner for a single gang member acting alone and must have been orchestrated by a large group of people who knew what they were doing.

Ideally, the killer would have been apprehended and held in jail without bail bonds in Los Angeles years ago, but that possibility is dwindling with each passing year. The killer may not even be alive any more. Hopefully, the murderer will be arrested and held without chance of anyone paying the Los Angeles bail bonds cost for this heinous crime against one the greatest rappers ever. Alas, the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. may remain one of America’s unsolved mysteries.
