Newton Police Station

The Newton station serves Fashion District, Pueblo Del Rio, South Park-Entertainment. Those who are arrested in these areas are generally taken to this station for booking. However, since this station does not have a long term holding facility, arrestees are often transferred to Parker Center Jail after they are booked and processed. This transfer can often add a significant amount of time to the bail process due to the paperwork and computer updates that are involved. It is preferable to start the bail process early on as to avoid this transfer.
